Joined CSR to help build a new tourist park near Cairns for 12 months. Started turf growing 30 km from Cairns, now with 48 hectares I production. Collected turf grasses from wherever possible and began selection process. Has two PBR varieties registered for tropical areas. Previous experience with a levy system in sugar.

Evergreen Turf, Vic including responsibility for R&D of non-toxic pest control in turf using entomopathogenic nematodes (ENS), monitoring , identification and threshold establishment of insect pests in turf for all sectors of the turf industry. General turf consultation to the turf industry with an emphasis on integrated pest management; breeding and assessment of turf varieties for various uses domestically and commercially; conversion and maintenance of sports surfaces for successful drought resistance.

More than 40 years of experience with turfgrasses. Inmternationally renowned turfgrass scientist and former president of International Turfgrass Society. Director early turf research in Australia for 14 years. Involved in more than 30 golf course projects with the world’s leading architects in Australia, SE Asia, NZ and Pacific Islands. Set up the biggest commercial turf farm in China. An expert on horse racing tracks and sports stadiums. Owns patents on grasses, natural organic nematicides / insecticides. Owns Qualturf at Richmond NSW. Board member of Turf Producers Association and NSW Turf Growers Association. Author of numerous articles in popular journals in Australia and USA.
Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association Distinguished Service Award in 2000, Australian Sports Medal in 2000, Greening China Award 2001, Turf Producers International Honorary Member Award 2004, Fellow of Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology 2004.

Director of Buffalo Turf Supplies in Windsor NSW. Frank represents the vast number of family growers in the Windsor and Hawkesbury region. This area sees one of the most concentrated areas of turf production in Australia.

Extensive experience in waste water / reclaimed water management in context of turf. Director for Turfgrass Technology. Daratech Pty Ltd in early 90’s. Currently Technical Services Manager for the Australian Golf Course Superintendents’s Association providing extensive advice to a wide range of clients including golf, bowls, sportsfields and local Government. Lecturer at University of Melbourne, Burnley Campus since 1983.
